It’s been almost a year since I properly began to research the mysterious world of BDSM. It doesn’t feel like a year at all, it still only feels like yesterday!
I’ve been baby stepping in my exploration. A good 90% of it has been reading, watching and writing with a few *ahem* bedroom experiments along the way.
How do I feel about it? That I’ve still got a lot to learn! BDSM is one of those things where the more you learn, the more there is to learn. It’s a bottomless pit of information, POVs, educational content, the works.
So for someone who likes going through information like Johnny5 (Ok, slight exaggeration! Ahhh…more input!! 😂) I’ve been loving seeing what’s out in the kinky world like the curious little kitty cat I am 😂
Along the way, I’ve met you tremendous people of whom many I’m delighted to call a friend and with that I’ve learned, continue to learn and have been given such wonderful advice and guidance from many of you. You’re awesome human beings and I extend a massive virtual hug to all of you! 😘
As well, exploring more helped in breaking down many of my own pre-judgements on certain BDSM related things. It’s helped boost my confidence and be more care-free, both in and out of the bedroom.
Me and my other half have tried a few new things and found a few kinky enjoyments of our own that we may not have found otherwise. I do love it when he’s super dominant*giggles*.
It’s been a very interesting journey so far, and this newbie’s looking forward to seeing what else there is to learn 😊.

I applaud your willingness to share something personal like this. When you step into any topic you aren’t familiar with there is usually some level of trepidation, but then to share it with others as you go through it has been interesting to see. Everyone has different tastes when it comes to stuff like this and you are able to discover you may have a preference for something you may not have even known about before. It’s fun to set sail for a bit of the unknown and find strength within yourself. Keep up the writing!

The only way to understand BDSM or D/s is to experience it and, even then, it will only ever be your own particular flavour fitted to your own needs, tastes and desires.
