So the last few months have had my calendar pretty full. And so far, it continues to be, thank God.
So, as you can imagine, I’ve got a few things to update all of you on!
EROTICON 2023
So, first thing’s first: I’m thrilled to say that I’ve been accepted to be a Speaker at Eroticon 2023! I was due to speak in 2020, but as we all know, the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While I was gutted the event was cancelled, safety was and still is the most important priority.
I’m really excited and admittedly, nervous about doing a presentation in front of people for the first time since university! But the excitement of meeting new people, seeing familiar faces and getting to see what Eroticon has to offer this year is vastly outweighing the nerves!
So if any of you are in London for Eroticon, come and say hello!
BAPTISM & CONFIRMATION
Last month entailed a big moment in my life so far. At Easter Vigil (the Saturday evening service before Easter Sunday) I was baptised and confirmed into the Church.
If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you’ll have seen me trying to navigate my faith for a long time. From being agnostic, to observing Quaker teachings, to finally finding my place as an Anglo-Catholic (the more Catholic end of the Anglican spectrum in the Church of England). If my writings have interested you, thank you for your patience and keeping up with how I’ve been trying to (and continue to) navigate my relationship to God.
I’ll be continuing to write my thoughts on the subject, along with my erotica and personal essays on sex and kink etc. It might be a bit of a contrast, but hey, welcome to my blog! π
It was an amazing service, especially walking into a dark church while holding a lit candle as the Exsultet was being sung acapella. Having my family there meant the world to me, and I had to hold back happy, emotional tears a few times. In particular, right after I was baptised (I was one of a few people being baptised and confirmed that night). Thank God for waterproof mascara! π I leaned over the font while the holy water was poured three times over my head for the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Then after the baptism came the confirmation. While the service had a full church, it was also a very intimate service and of course, a lot of celebration. Not only for the newly baptised and confirmed, but to celebrate the biggest event of the Christian calendar: The Resurrection. On Easter Sunday, we celebrated in church and I received the Eucharist in an Anglican church for the first time. That was a very special moment. I can honestly say in terms of faith, to receive the Eucharist is one of the greatest, if not the greatest privilege and grace to receive. No matter what mood I am in, I always look forward to communion and feel overwhelmed with God’s grace when I return to my pew and pray.
SO MANY DRESSES
So now that summer is pretty much around the corner, I’ve been procuring some weather appropriate dresses. And…I may have gone a bit nuts. I have so many dresses now!
Usually I’m one to just have a few dresses, four at most. A little like a capsule wardrobe. Wear what you need etc. Yeah, I bought definitely more than four dresses and safe to say, my summer wardrobe is set!
Coming into the Catholic Church was the defining spiritual experience of my life, not merely the Rite, but my taking my stand with The Church, despite its painful corruption. Congratulations.

Thank you David! And congratulations on you joining the Catholic Church! I did look at it as many Catholic elements mean a lot to me, but ultimately chose the CofE.
We also have our own painful history. But it’s people who vow to fix it on the inside and out that will fingers crossed work to heal those wounds xx

You’ll do great being a speaker at eroticon, I hope it goes well and make sure you tell us all about it. π
