A new beginning

Today I received some news that completely changes my year for me.

About two months ago, I had a bit of a, “fuck it” moment and decided to make a go for something I’d been thinking about for a while. I figured now was as good a time as any.

I didn’t say straight away in case it didn’t work out but I found out today so here goes.

I’ve received an unconditional offer to study a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing at my old university! 😱

I got the email when I was seeing my parents this afternoon. I let out an audible, “Ahh!!” when I read it before crying nearly ultra sonic at my Mum and Dad, “I got it! They’ve offered me a place!!”

Hugs and happy tears from Mum and hugs and a high five from Dad 😂 They’ve been so supportive and I can’t thank my folks enough for being the wonderful two people that they are 😊

I’m starting in September and I’m so excited. I want to learn as much as I can, so I can hone in on my skill set and work to be the best writer I can be.

At the end of the academic year, some of the best writing pieces are showcased and there’s potential to even acquire a literary agent, so naturally I jumped at it!

I’m looking forward to learning more. See y’all in September for enrolment! 😱😱

      They wanted two 1500 word short stories as an entry requirement and was nervous about if they’d like it or not. So seeing that I was like, “Oh my God they actually liked it!!” 😱😱

  6. Wow! This is fantastic news. Will you continue to write erotica or move into another more mainstream genre. I’m wondering if literary agents even exist for kinky romantics. LOL Wishing you the best.

    1. Thank you Mark! 😀 Oh yeah I’ll still carry on writing Erotica, no two ways about that 😊 I like writing mainstream romance as well as the erotic side, so even if I don’t get a literary agent for that aspect I can still write my stories and work to self publish 😊 Xx
