Farewell to the forgotten
Whose names we know not
Lamented you are
In our memories
In our thoughts
And in our hearts
Lives lost too soon
Called before your time
To the gates of St. Peter
Final sacrifice made
Courage revered
To those generations on
Tears pour hearts abound
To the sobered mind
Awake to thank you
Freedom anew wishing you could see
Thinking of you as west sun falls
And bright moon calls
A mourning memory sung
To the night that has gained a thousand stars
From the passing of the fallen
We remember you
Humbled, thankful you were once here
A heart touched for a heart lost
And to you, a vow we make
