Today’s been an interesting and productive one.
It was good to have a little chill out yesterday on my day off. I discovered Friends is now on Netflix, so immediately that was my night sorted! 😂 I was getting curled up in bed in front of the TV, with our cat Moe, who decided to join me and curl up for a cuddle.
After another crappy night’s sleep, I got up early and decided to make good use of the spare time on my hands. I got my yoga and pilates done (usually I do it in the evenings, but recently I’ve found mornings is better as I can have a relaxed start for the day) got some housework done and made breakfast for me and my Mr. before he got up for work.
Today I was planning a full day’s writing, but when the optician’s told me they could fit me in for an appointment this afternoon, I went.
I’m not due for another test for another two months, but I’ve been having some issues with my right eye, suspecting the sight may weaker than in the left.
The tests showed just that and that I’m short sighted, so I’ve had to get some distance glasses ordered. For the first time in 23 years, my 20/20 vision has finally come to an end!
I like the pair I’ve chosen and I pick them up on Friday. They’re simple square rimmed glasses and definitely better than the pointed, black rimmed glasses I tried! No word of a lie, I looked like Cruella De Vil! 😂
My boyfriend’s response made me chuckle (he wears glasses and contacts) when I messaged him telling him about my appointment.

Now I’m home sweet home warming up. In the UK, we’ve got cold weather and snow coming over from Siberia and my God, it’s cold!! 😨
Since then I’ve been writing away and back to work, getting some admin done for me and J’s act and sending emails applying for an audition for a paid acting job! A very productive day indeed!

Too bad about the glasses. I know all about it. But it is so much nicer not to have to wear them. But Mother Nature will not be denied.

I don’t mind having to wear them for distance at the moment 😊 My right eye’s been causing me that much trouble that actually being able to see distance properly was lovely haha! 😂

Oh I know. I just hate the sudden condensation and other annoyances. I prefer contacts but sometimes glasses are required.

I was considering contacts but I also found out yesterday I’ve got an eye condition that can make wearing contacts quite uncomfortable (bummer!), so I’ve all the annoyances to look forward to lol! 😂

Likely dry eyes?? Doesn’t preclude wearing them but does make it more difficult. At any rate it is wonderful to see clearly. So enjoy your glasses and try not to be annoyed! lol

It’s blepharitis so basically the posh word for dry eyes lol 😂 Once they’re less irritated I’m considering them just don’t want to risk making them any more uncomfortable at the moment (that and I’m trying to save some pennies lol). Maybe in a few months 😊 I’ll be sure to, thanks! 😊 x

I had laser eye surgery to correct my distance vision last year…now I need reading glasses …. But my distance vision is perfect!!

I’m the opposite, up close I’m ok and don’t need them but as long as I can see properly I don’t mind having to wear them 😊 x
