Candlelight

Smooth jazz fills the cosy room
Leather and carpet, paintings strewn on the walls
A home away from home
Spiced apple candles glow and burn
Illuminating your handsome face
You shed your suit jacket
Taking my hand
Pulling me in to a warm embrace
Cheek to cheek, we sway to the music
Snugly pressed against you
My delicate hand encased in yours
Warmth permeates from your chest in to mine
A ghost of a smile dances on your lips
From hazel eyes does ardour pour
Not a word spoken, yet we both know
When you stroke your hand in my hair
And tenderly press your lips to mine
