So the last time I did a little post about the goings on my life, I’d been holed up in my house with Australian flu for a fortnight.
I’ve since recovered and since my work as a dresser in my city’s theatre has now come to end, it’s back to freelancing I go! It’s been great to get back to working on my stories and hopefully (fingers crossed!) getting some stuff published 🙂
Also, as I mentioned a few weeks ago, around then I was going through a pretty rough time with bereavements and the debilitating anxiety that came with it. Now as some time’s passed I’m feeling calmer and more like my old, chirpy self 🙂
I’ve had bouts of anxiety in varying degrees for a few years; I can manage it a heck of a lot better than I could six months ago, but with the bereavement and general stresses it just skyrocketed. But I’m starting to feel better now, which is great.
I’m working on starting to take better care of myself, eating healthier foods, using more natural skincare, multivitamins, exercise, taking some time for myself etc.
I’ve got some things to look forward to which has really helped to pick me up. Me and my singing partner have our first real gig in a little over a fortnight! 😀 So we’re rehearsing two 40 minute sets and getting all the logistics sorted with the venue (listening to our songs we’re covering as we speak xD) We’re nervous but I’m really looking forward to it 😀
